PERSONALIZED APPROACH

NB Houtwerke is a privately owned, cabinetmaking outfit, in 7 Mark Street Franschhoek Western Cape, South Africa, which was started in 1997 by Nelson Baardman, Managing Director and sole owner, on a Prophetic Word received from God, during a service. To God be all the Glory and Praise!

Nelson and his sole assistant started off this business journey from his backyard and afterwards from his garage at home.

In this period working from home I set my aim to create an item that will match the exact look as desired. We strive to create an item of furniture that meets hopefully our customer’s expectations. We take great pride in our work and will do what needs to be done in order to achieve the desired look and make you happy. We want to create a piece, for you that will stay in your family or business for years to come, so it is with this view in mind we create and pride ourselves.

In 2001 I bought plot 364, in 7 Mark Street Franschhoek and in 2002 I decided to develop the business into something more structured and suitable to the community and market and immediately build the workshop and moved into the building premises we are occupying at present.

As a bespoke cabinetmaker, myself and my well-skilled craftsmen team, prefer to produce great work for few customers and, as such, each piece – fitted or freestanding – is made especially for you by us according to your needs and desires. Together with you, we will translate your requests and desires into concepts, drawings and tailor-made pieces that last beyond a lifetime.

Our team of skilled carpenters and woodworkers have over 20 years of experience in fine crafting and carpentry services. From concept to completion, we work closely with our clients to ensure that their vision is brought to life through our craftsmanship.

NB Houtwerke only uses high quality boards

and materials, from reputable local manufacturer’s such as PG Bison & Davidsons Boards

Customers have a vast range of options from melamine , chipboard , superwood , veneers & solid wood to suit the modern & classic look that compliments their build in cupboards designs.

HARDWARE, ACCESSORIES AND FITINGS

NB Houtwerke makes use of a range of suppliers (eg, Roco, Raiel, Grass & Blum) that supply quality fittings and state-of-the-art accessories to suit the needs of each customer.

It offers a selection of standard hinges, drawer slides and high quality contemporary accessories such as kitchen storage systems, and a wide variety of handles and knobs that will suit each budget.

SURFACING AND WORK TOPS

Customers have a choice between a large variety of durable work tops in popular designs and colours in materials. For a more contemporary finish kitchens and vanity’s can also be fitted with granite , solid wood and Post form Formica surfaces

QUOTATION PROCESS

All quotations are free (no cost). Design Services and Drawings will be priced per running meter depending how small or big the project is . ALL products and installations are performed by a skilled and dedicated team
